I just bought some 75W 90 Mobil 1 for my car. Here is the Chart from Sewell. Unfortunately it does not mention the GS 400. I think the GS 400 comes with 75w 85 Stock, I could be wrong though.

I'm not sure about the crush washer, but I'd be interested in knowing that since I also need to do my Diff Fluid.

Crush washer? I don't think you need to replace that. I don't know if we even have one to be honest. I was going to change mine out but couldn't get the damn plugs to loosen up. I'm putting Royal Purple 75w-90 in it and you need 2 quarts. Stock is 80w-90 but 75w-90 is close enough and is not too much of a difference where it will cause any damage.

i dont mean for this to sound as grumpy as it will sound but do you guys EVER even bother to look on sewell or just make posts and wait on someone to help you?

go to this page

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...S430-2001.html

then click on the one that says gaskets (yes even though it says Gasket "for oil drain plug")

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2001/2627.html

can buy them individually or in a 10 pack

Seriously, how many people change the washer for their oil drain plug when they change their oil? I agree that it's cheap enough where if you had it or can easily get it, then go ahead and change it but if you have to order it online and wait for it, forget it unless you see fluid leaking around the drain plug. The washer is the least of my concern at the moment. My problem is that I can't get the damn plugs loose!

just because people DONT do it doesnt mean thats what your supposed to do. your ALSO supposed to change the drain plug from time to time...

BTW almost ALL toyota/lexus dealers have these in stock so no excuse not to... OR do what i do and next time you order from sewell order a bag of 10 of them and piggyback it so u dont pay extra freight for it
