I have a 2011 IS250 auto and the intake sounds great above 3k rpm. Is it just me or did I lose power down low?

For some reason when driving a stock is250 it feels like it has more pull in low rpm's.

Yes everything was installed perfectly, Lexus master certified tech installed it.

The crossover is much louder than stock, I really like the sound.

So I guess no one else is experiencing power loss down low?

Not really, everyone else has nothing but good to say about the system, are you sure everything is installed correctly? It's very easy to miss a loose clamp or too tight. Also mAke sure the tube is wellllllllllll fitted to the throttle body

An intake will make no difference in performance that you can feel either way... (well, a properly installed one anyway)... even with a dyno you'll only see a 0-5 hp difference either way with any intake (except maybe that one crappy one with the electronic BS on it, the ETI or something, that can mess up the MAF signal).

If you feel a loss of performance with the F-sport you installed it wrong or you're imagining it.

Thanks for the replies, I'll take the intake tube apart and check the connections today.

I'm thinking I might sell the F-sport intake tube, I really like the Joe-Z special edition blue piping!

If you decide to sell your F Sport intake. Consider me in a first place. Anyway, when i first installed my fujita intake on my other car, i felt it actually slowed down my car a bit. However after 3-4 days, that feeling is gone. I hear the ecu needs to take sometime to adjust with a new intake.

I've put 80 miles on it so far, shouldn't that be enough time? lol

i know what you mean. i have f-sport intake and exhaust installed on my 250. when i drove the loaner stock 250, it felt faster off the line than my car. i think it's all in the head, in reality the f-sport intake equipped 250s are indeed a bit faster than the stock, but the stock 250 sounds so stealth and in a way it just feels faster compare to a louder car at a similar speed.

I think you might be right, I drove another is250 today and made sure I got to 40mph and accelerated just like in my car and it acted the same way.

The way the intake changes the sound in low rpm's makes you feel like the car is slower for some reason - it's much quieter until it actually starts to climb whereas a non F-Sport intake does sound louder at low rpm's.

I hope I made sense - it's really late and had a shot of patron... lol

During the installation the mechanic did not remove the negative battery cable, today I took it off so it would reset again. I think everything's ok now - but I just paid a ***** pile of money for more sound... do I or
