Default HELP. Fi/c installed, will not rev above 3500rpm

I just intalled Turbonetics T66 with 3" intercooler kit. Car runs with lean afr with just stock ecu but will rev pass 3500rpm. Now have the fi/c installed. Set the MAF map with 9%. It idle at 14.5-14.8 afr. Run fine till 3500rpm than the front end shakes like it running out of fuel. This is just before boost start to kick in. I'm running 8lb of boost right now. Needing some help how to tune fi/c to run right.

did you at least put in supporting mods like fuel delivery upgrades? haha

also ide rather send in the car for a proper tune vs DIY if youre not familiar with tuning.

Everything is stock right now with 1.3mm hg. The hesitage only happen just before boost. Even with stock fuel system, it should suport 8lb boost.
I'm in Joplin, MO. It's very hard to find someone who knows how to tune fic. If anyone close to Joplin can tune please give me message.

Yeah i'm picking up a set of 630cc injectors and a 300lph pump today. Just trying to make it run decent before upgrading the fuel system.

Like you mentioned you shouldn't be having a fuel system problem at such low boost levels, and when you disconnect the FIC it revs better, that is most definatly the tuning (or the wiring) of the FIC.

Do you have the MAF input set to voltage or percentage? And are you sure you have the igniter settings correct? Wasted Spark 1&6 2&5 3&4

Did you use a Bomslang (sp) harness or did you wire it yourself?

I have the MAF set to percent and set the value at 9. I haven't adjust the igniter setting yet. I'm planing to change the plugs when i install the injectors and pump.

If the engine won't rev past 3500rpm in neutral, this is your problem.

99 GS3, can you elaborate a litle more on the igniter settings. Is this something I can adjust with the fi.c software?

EliststK, I been reading alot of your posts. It has been very helpful. Thanks for all the info. I'm getting ready to change the spark plugs. I'm using NGK BKR7EIV-11. What should I gap them at or just install them pre-gap?

I would get this

http://www.boomslang.us/aemfic.htm

I installed a FIC on my car and it ran fine with this harness takes the guess work out of it.

I have moved on to a V-Pro I only used my harness for a couple of days. I would sell it for $200. Or you can just order one, he is in Columbia MO so you could get it in a day no problem.
