So are IS350 generally pretty close on base HP and how they react to mods? I ask this because everyone calls out for dyno sheets so fast. Back when I was an LS1 guy you would have some that made 295rwhp from the factory and some that made 325rwhp+. Always had to hope you got a "freak".. are there no IS350 freaks?

No i just meant that some cars made a lot more horsepower strait from the factory. I had 2 LS1 cars. One made 299rwhp and one made 319rwhp both bone stock. The odd thing is the one that made 299 reacted better to heads/cam. I guess they both ended up about the same but it was a higher % for the lower.

The 319 car. Along with the GF who didn't like pictures. Both are long gone.

While there are factory "freaks" and "lemons" when compared to average spec, it's a lot less in modern times with much more percise machinery; a "freak" now would probably be only a few horsepower due to how much consistant they are now than years ago.
