Just got a stock 06 is250 and I'm thinking about starting off with getting an exhaust system. I'm trying not to pay to much money so I trying to get some ideas for the best quality i can get for a lower price, Thank you
It's somewhat dated material but a good place to start. I've researched some myself and when I do upgrade I'm going with Tanabe Medallion - one of the quieter (relatively) and cheaper exhausts available.
That's a good link to check out the various types most people have on their 2IS. If you're wanting loud like me, F-Sport or HKS Hi-Power is the way to go paired with an Invidia Midpipe. Some quieter exhaust are the Tanabe Medallion.

Thanks, this helped alot. I'm probably going to go with the tanabe
They sell Replicas of Tanabe exhaust on ebay for less than half the price (~$300 shipped)
The manufacturer is M2 and from what I have found in clublexus, there are no fitment issues and its not that loud. Not sure about the power gains though.
I just bought an IS350 and am looking for an axle back exhaust too. I think I want the Tanabe, but I'm still considering this M2 knockoff.
i just bought the m2 tonight.... i have gotten great feedback about them ... i will post up a video next week once i get it and install it
Yes, please let us know how your install goes. Are you installing it yourself?
I am leaning more towards the M2 Exhaust as well, I just want to make sure there is no drone inside the car with this exhaust. Its cheaper than a used Tanabe Can't be that hard to copy mufflers right

i surely will post up once i get it installed and i will try my best to do a nice video. all i got is my iphone 4 for a camera lol...my camera skills are limited. and i am going to install it myself. the axle back exhaust are pretty straight forward and only take like 30 minutes to a hour at the most. and i am with you it cant be but so hard to copy a muffler. people have posted the build is pretty awesome on these. if i was building a show car i would be going name brand all the way but its a daily driver. i should have it by this monday
I was thinking about one of the knock-offs myself so I can't wait to hear how it does for you. I'm in the same boat, not interested in a flashy show-car exhaust... more interested in a nice sound and the way it looks.
Question: Did you get the one that was 120+80 shipping or the one for 300ish?

i got the 200 dollar one which the seller said is the same one as the 300 one. he said he was only selling them for that price for awhile but he decided to give me the 200 price since i asked.
