AEM FIC or Greddy EMU if you want more features for a piggy (+/-ign timing, raised redline, etc)

I personally have the FIC and I haven't had major issues with it, can't beat if for the price . Eventually I'll move up to a standalone but for the power range you want these piggys will do the trick and you won't have a reason to at all to fail emissions.

No problem. Well since you are in FL, then you should look into a f10x like smuv.

For the power range you're looking to make, I really don't see the point of upgrading your rod/piston. I'd say just get a GTE gasket and some ARP head bolt and use something like a SAFC-II to tune things. Also, add in a NGK wideband with the NTK sensor for tuning and keeping an eye on things.

I would pick the FIC or eManage Ultimate over the F10x anyday. All those IS300 guys were blowing up their engines with the F10x because it does not have any timing control. FYI: The stock ECU outputs around 21degrees of timing at WOT! To be safe under boost and especially with the stock GE internals, you want that timing to be around 15-16deg at WOT.

Actually, not enough said. From my understanding HKS doesn't have a solution to VVTI, they really only have a fuel defencer. What specifically are you using?
