Kybball, take HKS's word on that to do. He's been threw it...that and SC, so he's more knowledgeable than say myself.

HKS, what nozzle port did you use to get yourself that ~80hp? You said custom...so what exactly does that mean? Was there nothing off-the-shelf to make 80?

+1 on the sound. Also would be convenient to have to show the ricers to not even bother.

I'm thinking about just a Zex or NX kit with a TC window switch and call it a day. This is my DD also and I won't be spraying much. Mostly for drag racing at the strip. With that setup I am hoping to keep it around $1000 after labor. Tuning will cost additional $150/hr..

Zex nozzle

I think it was a

Nitrous 42 jet
Fuel 22 jet

But its been 3 years now so I'd start with the 41/22 75shot and dyno the 42/22 80shot

Even tho all jets are the same in design and all are interchangable. The various company's use there own orfice sizing so don't mix a Jetting chart from Zex with NX etc....

Kybball, Nitrous is usually only scary and fatal to the engine the first time you spray it.

After you break the ice and get past the tuning part your good to go.

*** I've blown motors up on 50hp shots tho ***

but you'll be fine, hehehhehehhehe muhahahah

Let me settle Kybball down after HKSs last post...an improperly installed nitrous kit or improper usage of a nitrous kit can lead to a broken motor. But a properly-sized jet and a kit with fail-safes if as safe as you can get. Do work son!

Is the TC window switch still necessary when the regular Zex kit comes with this:

Active Fuel Control™ monitors bottle pressure & adds or subtracts enrichment fuel for maximum engine safety & power
Really want to skimp out on this since the diagram looks like a mess...

HKS: Do you use a remote valve opener? Or do you just turn it on and off everytime you get in and out of your car?

Hey guys, just wondering how did the install and driveability come along? Is the car still on the road? I am VERY VERY interested in this setup and would love to learn more, thanks!
