Default VSC / VSC Off / Check Engine Light

Hello I have a 2001 GS300 - while driving today all three lights suddenly display VSC , VSC Off and the Check engine light and the car has loss of power , horrible sputtering idle. Any thoughts on this ?

Thank you,

MJ

I know that my VSC light was on along with the CEL. Took it to the mechanic and it was one of my anti skid sensors. Try going to a local automotive parts store (AutoZone, Advance Auto) and have them hook a scanner up. Not sure about the loss of power....but I'm sure someone has dealt with this before....

Most states have made a law not allowing this to be done anymore.

Autozone is allowed to hook it up to check the codes, but they're not allowed to clear the codes.

You can short two pins in the "Diagnostic" port in the engine bay to find out exactly which sensor is out.

for your cel, you should just go buy one...its only around 50 bucks and you can use it when you need it.....as for the abs/tcs....its probrably related to the cel....once cel is fixed, and cleared, those other lights may go of if its related....

Could be the battery or the alternator.

That was what happened to me when those lights came up for me.
