Default Straight Pipe Exhaust IS250 AWD

I have a 2006 IS250 awd. I have the F Sport intake installed. I'm thinking about putting in a straight pipe set up in place of the OEM. Has anybody done this? Did you notice a HP gain? Any negatives? Thanks.

Will that affect back pressure?

No idea.

I think my car run with following were loud enough!!!

Megan Header.
Megan Mid-Pipe.
Fujitsubo Exhaust.

I think if you need more louder, just run with Invidia Mid-Pipe

I've been told that you only need back pressure with turbos. Naturally aspirated does not.

I thought all exhausts need some kind of back pressure. But never mind me. I don't know that much about cars. It was just a question.

Yes, the axlebacks are universal for the ISx50's. AWD plumming is a little different around the front drive shaft.

My 250 is cut after secondary cats and go straight back into megan mufflers, if thats what your lookin for. Sounds nice, HP gains if any aren't really noticable to me, and no negatives yet. Def gives it a nice distinct sound since you're taking out the resonator though

Yeah something like that. Just had my baffle taken out and replaced with a straight pipe. Gives it a nice sound and with the F Sport intake it sounds really nice. Tuner says that I should notice the HP gain in a couple weeks after the ECU recognizes the extra air flow. Only cost me $175 for the straight pipe and install. Anybody that lives in Kansas or Missouri go check out Jeremy at RennenAuto. He hooked it up.

Your tuner is mistaken.

For one, the ECU can't really "notice" anything that happens after the secondary O2 sensors...

For another even removing the secondary cats entirely only adds 1-2 hp to the car, nothing anyone on earth could ever "notice" beyond the additional noise.

If you really enjoy the extra noise then it might well be worth the cost to you, but don't sit around waiting for magic horsepower to show up because it ain't coming.

I'm going to have to look into the ECU part. i thought the ECU read pre and post air flow. Even if it only reads the air coming in, with the straight pipe in there the air coming in is less restricted going back so the straight pipe should have an effect on the air coming in. Feels like it shifts and drives smoother though even if there is only small hp gain. Still worth the 175 being that I paid $400 for the F Sport intake installed. Thanks for the reply though.
