Default Aluminum- can it stand engine heat?

question...... can I build a custom cold air box for my Aristo's engine bay out of Aluminum Panels? Will the aluminum take the heat thats under the hood? Here's the panels that I'm talking about........http://www.radioshack.com/category.a...6%5F000&Page=1

thanks-
Nate

No problem, heck pistons are aluminum, as are the heads. The paint would burn off your hood before the aluminum would fail
