Engine compartment -heat concerns
Hi.
I was just wondering regarding engine compartment heat.
Ok hear it is parked the car about 6 hours a go, was just checking the fluids and the engine compartment is hot and I don't mean warm. I now it is a cramped in there but is this normal, it's hot hear now it's about 35 c. But the the compartment is like 50 - 55 c after 6 hours. That is about 20 about ambient.

I wouldn't worry about the cool down temperature under the hood. The cylinder walls of the engine are quite hgh when the engine is running and those temperatures have to dissapate after the engine is shut down. Some parts may even increase in temperature somewhat because there is no cooling available other than ambient air. All automobile with combustion engines have this in common.
Hahah I was in Dubai last night. Temp reached 53 celsius on the big clock on Sheikh Zayed road next to DXB!
I can understand your concern.
BUT, I have left my old LS430 with the AC on max in temperatures reaching 45-48 celsius for 3-4 hour intervals, and have never faced a problem. Not that I would recommend it nor want to do it again. Just more assurance that the Japs have put in mind that these cars will be driven around a lot in very hot climate areas.
Just make sure your coolant is topped up, and your eye on the engine temp.

Agree on the quality of japanes engineering, and Lexus IS eavin higher. All LS is belt in Tahara plant, look it up its one of the most quality issues factory of any kind the the world.
That bring 2 mor questions.
1) Is the Gulf spec LS430 radiator is the same as the Amirecan, I have heard that the Gulf spec is a 3 core radiator.
2) My care have a lot of radiat heat coming from the flore, to the point that the AC bearly keeps me cool. It dos blow coold but there is a lot of heat coming from the floor. Of course the issue is exaggerated in stop and go traffic.

Don't worry about heat coming from under the car. Very normal keeping in mind the climate and how it is where you live.

Thanks.
The heat from outside the car is ok. Got that.
Ok mor clarification, siting in the care and AC on after 20 minutes or so I feel heat radiating from under the seats, if you open the storage compartment under the seat it is varry worm. Basically the heat from the engine and exhaust is heating the flore pan and this heat is trasmited to the inside of the car.
After reaching home and the care is parked in the garage (open from 2 sides) no direct sunlight. When I look the car it's cool, after 1 hour it's varry hoot, as if the heater is on.

Long periods of idling is bad for any car and causes carbon build-up and possibly damaging the the catalytic converters. If you look at the user manual it states to not let your car idle for more then 20 min without driving it.
That is what I am planing to do. As the rear mufflers are not the OEM, planing to refit the OEM as of now it sounds ugly (my taste) it sounds like a German OR Japanes 6 cylinder (BMW, Supra, GT-R ...) the constant loud sound (booooooo).
For that need to jak up the car witch will not be at home.
If any one have pix of the exhaust system for compaction will be grat.
