Hood and engine issue/help..
Hey guys, car is a 98 GS 300.
Got a couple of problems I was wondering if anyone has any insight.
1) My hood does not close. Anyone have this problem. The release tab inside stays flipped outward, and the hood only catches the firrst latch and wont shut. I tried pulling the cable, nothing. I took the latch apart from the front bar, and tried pulling it, as well as greasing..nothing. It has happened in the past (most of the time), but sometimes the inside release tab will jsut go back by itself after a few hours, sometimes days.
What can I do to fix this?
2) I get a loud roar from the engine. It used to be nice a and quiet now and idle or low throttle, im getting a audible and annoying roar. It seems to be coming somewhere from the front of the engine. Someone said it might be some "bearings".
Any idea's?
