^^ As I am getting caught up... You are using Air Conditioned from the actual A/C system from the interior?? or something else..
Just wondering.. and don't worry.. I have no plans to make another intake or change the design to the current set up..
Many, many years ago.. I was involved in testing a HIGH FLOW inline fan/blower in the intake tract that only turned ON @ WOT, but it really caused more blockage than anything else..

something else, the ac from the interior would be a waste as Im sure you know. This high flow fan was electric? Was the problem that it couldnt turn fast enough to sustain any meaningful boost?

Yes it was electric and it was a very high CFM rated 3" fan.
I would say it was in the way of the meaningful air flow needed during normal driving.

In any case it is interesting and I'll be sure to start a thread documenting my build soon. Now back to topic....is it possible that the dyno was not properly maintained between the two runs? ie. low amount of grease in roller wheel bearings or something similar?

For all I know, it could have been strapped down with more load the second time around or less load the first time around..
I also don't know if it was dyno'd in the right gear & I also see the smoothing set to ZERO..

I did get to meet Joe Z in person yesterday (I bought the Joe Z Street Exhaust so I do believe in his products or else I wouldn't have spent $1,500+ on the exhaust and intake), and we did get to talk about the intake. He made sure it was installed right, and everything was. We talked about cold starts, right gears, and the like. It could be a slew of possibilties, and unless I get even more baselines done, there's going to be no way to be sure for certain at this point. I did ask Raymond, the mechanic who did the dyno, about his thoughts again, and he did point out that the 4 dyno run graphs look almost identical but with a slight difference on the higher RPM's on all 4 intake runs. I guess I should call him back and ask him about smoothing as Joe pointed out.
Realistically, and I guess what should be weighed too, is that I didn't do worse on the drag strip. Even though there are many, many, many varying conditions that have been posted above, the bottom line is that my averages did not stay the same or get worse when conditions on the track were better.

Look like there are many variables that can affect Dyno results too so unless it is a big gap, small HP increase in Dyno testing does not mean much.
Oh well, I guess we buy intake just for better sound and look. + or - 5 HP cannot be felt anyway.
