Default 2007 IS250 exhaust system

Alright, so I have a new 2007 IS250, and I am really disappointed with the sound of it. I would really like to put in a new exhaust system, but I have absolutely no knowledge on cars and have a limited budget. At first I was going to go with the F-Performance Exhaust, but i saw the msrp of 1400$. way too much for me. Does anyone know of any nice exhaust systems that are cheaper?

I pioneered the exhaust delete mod first for the LS and then the guys with GS cars started doing it. The IS is a little different in that it has a flange before the final 2 mufflers which are a welded assembly.

I would suggest having the mufflers removed (get a buddy and do it yourself) by unbolting the flange. Drive it. See what you think. If you like the sound you can have a muffler shop extend from the flange with pipe and have tips of your choice added for looks. Should cost you in the $200 range plus tips.

Added bonus... you will drop some weight which equals performance. Probably more than an exhaust mod (other than headers) is likely to give.

Question to others: Anybody measure the pipe diameters? I mean really measure? It will NOT be standard 2" or 2.25" or 2.5". It will be in metric and more likely 50mm or 55mm or 60mm.

Here's the link directly to the F-Sport exhaust with the F-Sport engraving on the tips: http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...0-2008-21.html. Assuming you've created your CL account on our website, you should see the price well below the $1100 mark.

If however, you would consider the F-Sport exhaust WITHOUT the F-Sport engraving on the tips, then contact me directly and we could sell it at just $1000 including shipping to you up north.
