I got my invidia mid-pipe and megan axel back. I put the megan on already, went on pretty easy. I bought a o2 sloted socked and its so long I couldnt even get it on, hits the frame... Do you need to cut the flange around the o2? Even if i did The socket would still be to long.
The best thing to do is to spray some penetrating fluid like WD-40 on the connection point first. This will help when trying to turn the sensor loose.
If the O2 socket that you have has a "hex" at the top, just use a wrench instead of the 3/8" rachet. This will give you more room. Also the exhaust pipes do some some wiggle room. No need to remove the O2 flange.
just bought the invidia mids today on Ebay for $325 shipped. I am also curious about the removal of the 02 sensor. Let me know how it goes and if you have any recommendation on how to get it off. Sounds like i need to get an o2 socket.
BTW- will spraying wd-40 mess up the sensor? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Spraying a penetating fluid on the external part of the sensor is no problem. However you do have to be careful no to get the sensor probe dirty with anything. Typically the service manuals recommend puting a ziplock type bag around the removed and hence dangling sensor when doing exhaust work etc...
Any idea on how much I can expect to pay to have a professional install it? After trying to remove the bolts out of the header its nearly impossible to do on the floor of my garage. They are just to rusted to break loose without proper tools and access to them.
