Any one have any experience with AFE's Takeda ram air or stage 2 CAI???

They are VERY popular with the BMW guys... was one of the few intakes made for my Z4.... great company!

a few guys have it. what do you need to know?

btw, both products look like the same thing:

stage 2:


how they are priced differently is beyond me...

and btw, neither are true "cold air intakes", as you might be led to believe.

on the BMW its an enclosed airbox... just a lot bigger than stock and a cone filter inside. The photos above look nothing like the one for my Z4 lol not that they would be the same... just sayin

I had it on my m3 and on an e90 3 series. they sound great.

Well I'm just wondering if there are any guys with one currently on their 2IS right now. And I should only be expecting to get sound out of one right? No performance?

pretty sure it's the stage 2 judging by the color of the piping although the color of the filter is the same as the takeda's

I have the aFe Intake for the IS and it sounds amazing when your at WOT. The only word that comes to mind when describing is, beastly


But aFe started Takeda so im pretty sure the intakes are the same... aFe is more well known in the BMW community because they have dual cone filter for the e90's which looks really dope....

i've been wondering whats the difference between the regular one and stage II. Is it the different material used for the filter? or is it something else?
