you need a welder.. straight pipes... and a pipe cutter or angle grinder... that'll do i think... it's best to leave it to the muffler shop... it should cost you no more than $50

They just cut off your resonator and weld a straight pipe with a size of your choice, costs around 10-50 bucks.

Only con is that it might make whatever exhaust you have a little more raspy. ( Varies on the exhaust) It doesnt affect emissions, it acts as a silencer for the exhaust.

IS J -
i read your tags and see you have hks hi power exhaust. is that along with the injen intake? how do you like that. i already have the hi power exhaust and right now debating between the fujita intake or injen intake.

right now im looking for more of a aggressive sound. do you like the injen intake? did you also remove your res?

Yes sir and with a resonator delete aswell. I posted up a thread a couple of days ago in this section with a video of my car showing how the exhaust sounds, check it out, lol. As for the injen I love it for the simple fact that I can still hear my exhaust at high RPM's without the intake taking over to much. I had the fujita and gave it to my g/f when I got the exhaust. Fujita is loud and sounds nice but over powers every other noise you have...

With the HKS and Resonator delete, have you noticed any increase in sound when your inside the car?

Hey guys, for the 250 AWD, i know they dont make midpipes, but i read somewhere on the board that it is possible. what needs to be done? can i just take it to a muffler shop and get them to custom make a midpipe? i was going to just take out the res but now thinking that maybe down the road i want to keep put it back on. so instead if hacking it off maybe i can get the custom done....what do you think...any ideas as to future problems and cost and etc etc....

I really cant give you an answer to that cause I had my resonator taken off with my stock exhaust before I got the HKS... lol. I assume it would make a very minimal difference in interior noise cause with the stock exhaust it made no diff. inside but you could tell outside. Hope that helps, lol
