So this ebay vendor wanted to give me a partial refund of $20 for something, so instead i convinced them to send me this intake instead. (makes me wonder if their cost on it is around $20!) Anyway, seeing as it was free-ish, i figured why not..
I've installed intakes in most of my previous cars from INJEN, AEM, FUJITA, SRT, and K&N. This looks like its probably similar quality to Fujita and is probably just a knock-off of it.
Even the filter itself looks decent.. not quite the same as a Fujita, but a good knock-off of an apexi filter.
I also happened to have a can of black spray paint, so I figured i'm going to spray paint it black since I think chrome intake pipes look kinda cheesy.
Once I get it installed i'll let you guys know how it performs. I'm expecting a nice growl, with no performance gains (or losses). I'm not overly worried about hot air since i'm in Canada and its snowing half the year!
Why would you guys put knock off parts on a 40k+ car's Engine?
I bet that intake is no worse than a fujita or injen... just because it doesnt have a nice finish or a name tag doesnt make it any different at the end of the day its still a SRI and it isnt gonna do **** to help the performance no matter who made it
AND for $20 why not? I used to daily drive my 40K+ car with no passenger or back seats. I also put a a dry 100 shot of nitrous on the car and squeezed 60+ bottles through it.. Im pretty sure thats worse than a knock off intake

If i always had this mentality, i wouldn't have been able to afford a $40,000+ in the first place.

normally i wouldn't even bother with an intake, since it wont make a performance difference, but for $20? Why not... its cheaper than replacing the factory air filter! And infact, it DID have a nice finish. It was polished like the Fujita. I just painted it black because i'm not a fan of chrome pipes under the hood. Black will look OEM/Stock/Factory.

If you buy anything from ebay and their knock off products.. people here are gonna bash on you anyway lol.
Really it doesn't matter. its just a filter. doesn't matter if you get any aftermarket intake. there is really no gain difference. the more money you spend, the more horse power you believe you gain. If anything that seen actual gain are those SRT ones with a tuned piggy back.
anyways good luck and takes some pics of how it looks in you car.
