Ok so basically my transmission went out on me, I already took it to a shop and had it pressure checked which came out with no pressure in the front, mechanic said it could be a number of things and wouldnt know until it was dropped and opened. I decided too hold off rebuilding it since that can cost an arm and just look for a used one. Now I am also wondering what or if there are any other models that share the same transmission as the 1UZ motor? Also so far I have seen them for about 750 shipped, I am wondering if any of you fellow CL members can help me locate one for less or one that you know is in good condition. Any help on this will help me a lot cause I need it asap since my GS is my dd and its sitting right now.

 

any a650e will work, you just have to swap the bellhousing from the old trans to the new one

Another question if anybody knows, i know the GS300/400/430 use the same tranny but what about the difference of the electronic manual shift from the 400 to the 300? i have a chance to get a 300 tranny but im not sure about the the whole electric manual shifting difference.
