My wife's ford explorer needs to have the transmission replaced. We are going to give it back to her dad after it is fixed and find a new ride. Does anyone have a good recommendation of where to get this done around raleigh? Are places like AAMCO trustworthy?

 

While I've never had my transmission service at these places, I've heard people have good results with it. Make sure they do the complete overhaul with new master kit with steels. Some places just use a banner kit and call it a day. All of my transmission are built by a friend in charlotte who builds the drag 3SX car. He's gonna build two of my supra transmission that are going to be pretty the best in the industry. Let me know if you need further help and I'll see if he has time to rebuild it for you.
