TT Drive Shaft Problem
I wanted to see if any of you guys can help out on this. I did the 2JZ TT VVT-i swap on my GS, and I'm using the actual aristo transmission, but I'm using the n/a drive shaft.... The n/a drive shaft does not bolt on to the aristo transmission the bolt patterns are different, so I had a special donut made for it.. So now every time I drive my car once I hit 30 mph my car starts 2 shake really bad... and it doesn't stop until I get up 2 like 60 mph and up.
The only reason I know its the drive shaft, because I put my car up on the lift and put the car on gear and went up to 30 mph and the drive shaft was shaking pretty badly.... so if it makes my car shake badly I assume the drive shaft must be worse.....
Can any of you guys help me out on this on how I can fix this problem.... like help me get the actual 2nd gen aristo donut or drive shaft with the donut, or any solution that would help me out.
Thanks,
Cris

You wouldn't happen to have taken any pictures of the output flange of the new trans vs the old, would you? I'd like to see it. Anyway I would look at one of the importers you bought your engine and trans from. Sometimes they have misc odds and ends lying around when they get their containers, you never know you might get lucky.
Also take a peak at the yoke of a mk 4 supra. Where I live we have a place called drivelines northwest, they could custom make you a set up if you can come up with the aristo yoke.
I'm guessing you replaced that lovely polygarbagethane bushing out with something else? Thats why our cars are so smooth and linear...right

Sorry no pictures
I know there are members here that swear up and down the stock driveshaft works but mine didn't fit either. There is however an oem toyota part (Usdm) that will fit to the aristo output shaft and retain the bushing. What you need to do is pull the driveshaft apart and use the front portion of the new driveshaft and the rear half of your oem shaft. Unfortunately I don't remember which driveshaft I used as it has been almost 4 years since I did my swap but I would look into a Gs400 shaft if you can get your hands on one to test fit. Either that or take the old rubber bushing into a driveshaft shop and have them make a driveshaft for you using the oem back half. Sorry I'm not more help with the exact model I used but I know for sure I mixed and matched to make the proper shaft.

I just did swap and the back half i used my gs400 and the front half from an aristo. You can use the whole gs400 drive shaft the front half is a little too long.
Thanks a lot... So the whole GS400 drive shaft will fit the aristo transmission with the n/a diff. So what I wanted to know if all the holes will line up if I use the GS400 drive shaft. The problem that I have is that the screw holes don't line up with the aristo transmission. I just want to confirm that it will fit. But thanks that actully helps me.

You could call around and have a custom drive shaft made at lest that way you know is a perfect fit..........that what I'm having done at a local drive shaft place....you just let them know what trans and rear end your running and wallah!!!!.......and its under warranty

You just need the front half of the aristo driveshaft, ill see if my boy has more. What else do you need? let me know.
No the 400 shaft did not work it's to long and the holes don't line up as well.
If he can get me the front part of the aristo driveshaft that goes connected to the aristo transmission with the bushings that would be great just PM the info on pricing etc.
Man you would be a life saver.

Hmm that sucks, I wish I had written down the combo I used as it seems to be an issue for a lot of people. Unfortunately I just had a pile of driveshafts laying there so I rifled through them until I found a combo that worked and I didn't take time to figure out what was what.
