I like K&N, though a lot of folks will tell you that the oil will foul the ECU. I'm not of that opinion. I have used K&N for years, and the one on my F has been there for about 5K miles with no issues. When you reoil, just be careful not to over oil, and let the filter sit overnite not installed, for the residue to disperse.

I'm using the Blitz filter - I'm not a fan of having to oil the air filter, and would just as soon avoid getting any oil on my MAF sensor as well.

See - Three responses - Three opinions BTW, as I said, IMHO, oil on the MAF is not an issue if you take the proper precautions.

^I've seen oil get on the MAF sensor so many times on so many cars that it's more than a passive concern for me.

I've used K&N before, but the hassle of re-oiling the filter and worrying about MAF issues convinced me to swap it for a dry filter.

There are several dry filters available (Blitz, HKS, Cosworth, Tom's, etc), and I doubt you'll know the difference from running one over the other. I have the HKS filter in my air box - it can be purchased from Carson Toyota's L-Tuned Parts website (www.l-tunedparts.com). The Tom's and Cosworth dry filters are also available from this site.

If you go Ebay, search up IS350 blitz and you should be able to find the Blitz Filter for the ISX350.

If you prefer to order from a vendor, you may do that. It would be nice if the vendors have them instock and ready to ship. If they are special order, you might have to wait a couple weeks for it.

You may also get it at AJ Racing, a JDM tuning shop where I got all my Japan parts from.
Their website is www.aj-racing.com. You won't find the item on their website but they can get it for you from Japan.

If you want to call to place an order, look for Ben Leung @ 1-604-279-0329. Tell him Ken with the IS350 sent you and he will look after you!

^ This is the route I went for the blitz air filter I just bought for my 2008 IS 350. I just searched ebay and found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=&mfe=sidebar

$59.99 + $12.99 - 3% from MrRebates.com . (unfortunately, last I checked bing cashback for ebay doesn't work anymore).

I'm at a little over 24k miles now. I believe I'm supposed to change my air filter at 30k miles. And I believe this air filter can be cleaned at 30k miles to go another 15k miles. At least that's what I have heard.

I still have not done anything with my cabin air filter and I'm pretty sure I'm really late - at 15k I was supposed to either replace it or at least clean it. I'm thinking of getting a blitz for the cabin air filter too because I believe it's fully reusable, you just clean every.. 15k miles?

If you damp the filter with a paper towel after oiling you will not have a problem.
