Although I do not have any midpipes on my car, general consensus on CL is Megan Racing midpipe. It will run you ~$450. And you can get it on Amazon........... http://www.amazon.com/Megan-Racing-M...1218625&sr=8-1 oh yeah, $100 for shipping.....
Check in the vendors section. I think there's a deal on the invidia mid pipes that just released not too long ago. Other vendors can get their hands on Megan mid pipes as well if thats what you want to go with.
I don't know what mid pipes should i get, please help me out by telling me where can i get it and how much will it cost me
I would highly recommend Invidia Mid-pipes that Team SNS (vendor) is selling. They currently have a special promotion of $310 brand new.
I purchased the Invidia Midpipes from Chris from Team SNS earlier this month. The Invidia midpipes are of better quality and craftsmanship when compared to Megan Midpipes. For $310, the Invidia midpipes are definately a bang for the buck. The Megan midpipes run for over $400. I've seen Megan Racing headers and exhausts for cars like Civic SI, Honda Fit, etc and the quality is quite disappointing. The welds are not as clean and professional and I would say the overall finish is acceptable.
I went with the Invidia because of the fit and finish, their expertise in developing and manufacturing performance components. I am sure that you will be happy with the Invidia midpipes.
If you are placing an order with Chris from Team SNS, let him know that Kenneth sent you and he will take good care of you. One of the best vendors I've dealt with.
If you have any other specific questions, feel free to PM me.
The sound got a little louder as the Invidia midpipes eliminates the secondary cats. The increase in exhaust noise depends on your axle-back portion of the exhaust system. If you have an oval shaped exhaust like Tanabe, F-Sport, Greddy SE, your exhaust note will not be overly aggressive or obnoxiously loud. For the most part, it is the axle-back exhaust canisters that determine the exhaust note and noise level. If you were mating it with the HKS Hi-Power, then definately you will be getting a much louder exhaust note as the HKS Hi-PWR uses N1-style canisters.
Oval shape axle back + Invidia = slightly louder, less aggressive, still tolerable for daily driving, sporty exhaust note
N1 canister axle back + Invidia = much louder, more pronounced exhaust note, race/performance setup
I have the invidia midpipe with the tanabe axleback exhaust. In my opinion it is quite a bit louder than the stock midpipe + tanabe but it seems to drone less. The stock midpipe has more than 2 cats, there's what appears to be a muffler in line after the two pipes converge before it goes to the flange for the axleback. I would be interested to hear the difference between the invidia + tanabe and the megan + tanabe. I like the invidia and the price is unbeatable but it can be obnoxious with the windows down.
