On the 2jz-gte VVti you can push then fairly hard. They do not have the ceramic exhaust wheel like the old jdm turbos did. The compresor wheel is actualy slightly larger than the usdm Supra turbos. The wastegate actuators are not as strong so it limits you on boost. I think you could upgrade them with USDM actuators but never tried.

I am going to have to eat crow on this one. I use to be a firm believer that the exhaust wheels in the Aristo VVTi turbos were steel. I was wrong. I tore my old turbos apart today and to my disbelief the exhaust wheels are ceramic.

So the wheel itself is ceramic! Wow, that sucks. I guess I will go single sooner than later to be safe.

I am still waiting on fittings. I wanted the black and silver ones and evidently they are on back order. I am suppose to get a tracking number today.

This is what I have so far for the fuel system

Amaizingly, my local Pep-boys has the black & silver Russel fittings in stock. You might want to check if they have them.

It is in my driveway getting snowed on. Unfortunately life has taken more of my time then I had hoped and I have had little to no time to work on the car.

I have the fuel system and a set of Brian Crower cams in the garage to be put in this spring. I will post updates when anything is done. The shop I do most of my work at is in flux now and it is hard to find space to work.
