Default New IS250AWD Turbo Question

Hey guys new to the forum and new to Lexus. Just picked up this baby, traded it for an 07 BMW 335i, had to for the AWD of it all.

Anyway I'm used to a twin turbo 300HP car, is the IS250 AWD capable of getting a turbo installed?

If so can you guys provide tips, manufacturers, whatever you feel will help.

Oh and just to keep the thread moving, if you can't answer the turbo question just pop in to say hi and maybe give me any tips or tricks you have from your experience with the car.

Thanks! I look forward to frequenting here.

welcome to the fourm.

to be honest, if you have a 250, and especially an awd, you can forget about power increase for the car and just go for show. the amount of money you invest in it to make it go faster is much greater than you trading it in and get a 350, add exhaust and intake and call it the day. it's just not worth it, i think even if you do turbo it, it'll still not be as fast as the 350, and you end up spending much more money and void your warranty.

Hi welcome, and I am sorry to say you will be sorely dissapointed.

Should of bought a beater for the winter, and kept the BMW. The 250 will remain at 204 hp no matter what you do to it.

Thank you everybody for your replies. I gotta say I'm a little dissapointed that there really isn't much I can do for a HP upgrade unless I wanna spend large sums of money.

Thats okay though, I'm enjoying the smooth ride, even with the lack of power in comparison to the 335i I am not regreting the purchase and in conclusion I think we will all agree the Lexus takes the cake in the aesthetic department!

Thanks everyone for your replies and welcomes!
