Question gs300 exhaust & intake

Hey guys. Im putting some money into my car to make it faster in a straight line. So far i want to put in a new exhaust and intake. I was thinking about the SRT intake/ecu package and the borla exhaust. Thoughts? what power gains are people getting with those parts and is there something that i should buy instead?

I had that combo before and I did notice that I lost some low end response but once the rpm hit about 3500 she starts to haul some fat-***. Good bang for the buck IMO.

search...there are a ton of threads about this. Also I'm gonna guess most people will say its a waste of money and either turbo it or hook up some nitrous. I would do just the exhaust personally...I think the intake is a waste of money IMO. Not because its bad...but the noticeable difference is so little...its just expensive for not really that much.

The problem with getting a turbo is that its so expensive, you need the turbo the intercooler then u gotta remap the ecu and wish that u had a better exhaust so the turbo would make more boost all while praying that u dont blow your engine or in my case drop the tranny. And nos is retarded

I heard that the headers and cat-back exhaust combo guarantees about 17hp. If you add on a cold air intake with the A/F control unit, you get an additional 17hp. 35hp total. Thoughts?
