Artisan Turbo IS350 Progress Thread
I'm not surprised you got screwed, but I am kinda surprised the owner, who is supposedly trying to fix the horrible rep of his company, is now trying to screw you a second time.
I agree with the chorus of get a lawyer, and honestly I don't think you want these guys doing ANYTHING further to your car.
What I'd have the lawyer asking for at this point is exactly what someone suggested earlier-
The car to be taken to a Lexus dealership and restored to original condition, all on the tab of turbochargers.com.
I wouldn't trust them to even put it back to stock properly, and I sure as hell wouldn't trust any sort of crap turbo setup they tried to slap together at this point no matter how much $ they jacked me for to do it.

damn, just started reading this. Sucks to hear about that crap. I mean I could kind of understand a little if this Kenny guy was just some joe schmo bottom feeder in the company, but he was a manager? That's such a **** move...
Hope things go well for you and you get something out this whole ordeal.

Technically, the car is in your name.. leaving you the right to do whatever the F you want to it.
I would go there with a trailer.. and pull my car out of there shop and not give them a single penny...
If they give you a hard time and demand $1000 bucks..... give them something hard to their face
Why spend money on lawyers? You already spent enough money and time.

^^^ agreed but i dont want any legal actions against me as well. I would gladly just go down there and get a different shop to take off the parts and return the car back to stock and return the parts to them, but the big question is "Am I commiting any crime by just taking off of their hands?".
Damn is the worst news i have ever heard on CL. You have to stand your ground on this one, and make sure they understand this will mess up their business forever. DO they not know you represent All Lexus(CL) with this project?!?! The owner should step up to do whats right instead of being a coward and pointing fingers else where. SO what, if the manager was let go, its his company and he has to finish what was started. Agreements were made and thats final. Its his problem to resolve this before you take legal actions. If i were you i'll get a lawyer for sure!! its not how much you're going to be paying for these actions, its the principal. This is a life learning lesson bro, its up to you to take the next step. Seriously handle everything the legal way or else you and your car will never be the same.. Good Luck bro!
i took this from houston-imports.com on the turbochargers.com section FYI
**Under New Management**
Some of you may be aware and some may not. Kenny Strickler (Turbochargers) and Sean Newton (Nester) are no longer employed by Turbochargers.com. Turbochargers.com is now managed by a team effort between myself, Jack Markgraf and "JonGu", John Nguyen.
We realize that the local and national reputation of this company has been severely tarnished by poor business practices and horrible customer service for the past several years and we are determined to change that and earn back and repair the trust that has been broken. We will offer up front and honest professional service to all customers in addition to competitive pricing on all of the highly desired brands and manufacturers. I will not get into details or e-bashing; just know that Turbochargers.com has turned over a new leaf effective immediately. We are here to serve our customers with the utmost respect and the highest service possible. Whether it be a $2 gasket or a $7k+ turbo setup, you will feel appreciated as our customer. I have been on the consumer side of the industry and I know what it feels like to be treated badly and that will not happen in this company any longer.

they bought the company,,,so are they forgetting about the customers who had their cars there for months just because they are the NEW owners?
I'm pretty sure they were very well aware of the situation and what kind of work are in progress when they decided to buy it..
so how about they finish up the unfinished business to ALL customers FIRST before claiming that they will provide the best service to anybody else?
John~you should totally get a lawyer
I might have some friends out there who might be able to help you out if you don't have a lawyer already broKen
Retain an attorney to make it all happen.
Tell them you'll be down to pick up the car in it's current condition and you'll pay them nothing because nothing has been delivered. Take the car to a dealership, have them restore it to stock, and send them the bill with a note advising them they can choose to pay the bill or they can see you in court for the costs (ALL of them) plus damages for the breached contract and reasonable attorney's fees. I honestly would not trust them to restore the car to stock at this point, they'll just slap it together and call it a day as soon as you sign the work order.
They need to pay for this, one way or another. Firing Strickler does not absolve them from responsibility for the contracts he made.

Get a lawyer. Talk to them about the situation. If you have a contract (very good). Worst to Worst, Take your car back and bring to a REPUTABLE shop (LEXUS DEALERSHIP) and get the motor put back in. I wouldn't even pay a dime.
no kidding

Javier

well in that case, it makes even less sense for them to give John two non-sense options
he surely shouldn't be paying $1,000 in order to get his car back
or
pay $8,000 to get his TURBO (which nobody really knows if it will even work)
they claimed that the this kit is 75% done,,but where are the pictures? and can they even guarantee that it will work?

I guess firing Kenny and the other guy was a good call, but the way they are treating John is just
anyways, thanks for clarification Javy
