Took me about 3 real days of work.
Could have taken less time, but I was really enjoying the build. Plus there is about a million things that needed to be done for a smooth install.
started with a 163K engine bone stock.
tranny will remain stock until the new engine is built. Then I am swapping over to a 5 speed.
only running 7psi. Plan to stay right there until the new engine is ready to roll. Then we get to see how much power these engines can really handle stock bottom, stock head, stock tranny.
That is a lot of miles, the reason I am asking is I would like to purchase a 300 and do the same. I was considering a swap, or just turbo on stock motor. I am looking to get about 400hp, that would be my goal. If you have a parts list handy or something of that sort could you pm me. If not that's cool Ill have to keep reading all of these posts which are still very informative, thanks!!!
nice build....except IC piping...congrats sir. u could cut open bumper and blacken out the FIC
whats wrong with my intercooler piping?
Dont want to cut open my bumper. Its a nice bumper that never did anything to anyone else.
Not a big fan of painting an FMIC. Regardless of the stealth, placing 1mm of paint (read insulation) on and air to air intercooler decreases the thermal transfer. Doubtful that at my power level (low) I would even see a difference, regardless, not something I want to do.

nothings really wrong with it....the intake piping just looks a tad fugly in my opinion. the build is great and props for doing it so quickly.
paint,powdercoat....you know. it was just a thought. i did it on my civic loved it on the black civic with the black intercooler never knew i was turboed till you heard it spool.
