Default Madchyers Turbo Thread

Long time member, still kind of new poster...As some may know I boosted the IS300 last year in April. Things where fun for a while, then I got pulled over...Long story short, the car had to go back to stock to pass CA Bar inspection, and for those of you who aren't familiar with that, it's basically a really strict SMOG test (fml SoCal). Anyways, so the car is N/A again, but the turbo is gonna be going back on with some improvements from last year's set up.

Here's some old pics from the install:

Then I went stealth, before I had to get reffed. Everything that can be seen painted black. Custom made 3" turboback exhaust with OEM-looking Magnaflow muffler with the tip cut off and 2.5" tip welded on, all painted with hightemp black paint. Stealth is key.

Then I decided that more suspension work should be done.

I already had coilovers (Tanabe)

Already had strut bar (Tanabe):

Tanabe rear sway

Tanabe front sway

So now power goals have shifted from 7psi ~300whp to (eventually) 20psi ~550whp (I'm hoping)

I will be rebuilding the motor with forged internals. Rebuilding the head with Brian Crower goodness for high revs. Replacing the w55 5 speed tranny with a freshly rebuilt r154 by Marlin Crawler. And a bunch of other nonsense here and there...

So for now, stay tuned for updates on the build. I'll post pics as parts come in the mail. But for now, you can enjoy some pretty pictures of when she was boosted...

Chyea!
