Ok I see alot of ppl on here turn the boost side of the turbo kinda upside down, so you can run the piping under the car....(like Jeff does) i was jw how 2 do that..are there any seals/gaskets that need to be replaced? Thanks I have a turbonetics T-62..if that matters for this question. I'm not nearly as familiar with turbocharger construction/terminology as i would like to be, so if anyone knows of a good site with alot of info that would be great!
Thanks
Its called "clocking" the turbo. All you have to do is untighten the bolts on the backside of the compressor. once all of them are loose you'll be able to spin the housing to you desired position and retighten. Thats it.
ok i have another question now...ive been told to be very strict about oil changes every 3000 with a turbo....well im going to be using amsoil over mobil 1...can i stretch it 2 5000 with amsoil? Im not trying to be cheap...but the stuff is expensive..lol why waste it if you dont need to...
Thanks
Off topic but I have to say that bluelex's signature makes it really easy to hate him...doesn't help that the blue on it is about my favorite color/shade. Congrats on one of the most decked out GS's I have ever seen!
To add to the thread, there are no seals to worry about.
Yes, you will be fine, especially if you are sure to let the car cool down properly after driving it hard. If you are just cruising around town then you can shut down as normal.

or if you think you'll forget, a turbo timer should run you only 50-100 bucks.
