Is the bottom side of the f-sport air filter supposed to have a groove like the paper filters? The bottom of mine is flat, which makes it sit higher than the stock one and makes it very hard to close the clips. Is this normal?? tx

 

it was a bit of a challange for me to put the filter box back together after putting in the f-sport filter. but after some repositioning of the filter, I was able to put it together without too much force. you are not alone.

my filter is too big. javyLSU and I could not fit the cover back on. i need to exchange it with sewell. the height of mine is OK, it's the "circumference" that is a problem.

 

I'm surprised they have such poor fitment. Good luck getting a new one, I'll have to take a look for pics to see what they're supposed to look like.

 

Oh, btw. I love the intake. During normal driving it's not noticeable, but press the pedal hard enough and you get a nice howl between 3-5k.
