This is a wild build. It's awesome you're turning a somewhat bad situation into an all out track car. Your outlook is inspiring.

As far as color, I would say flat black. Urban green/olive drab is pretty played out among other scenes. Can't wait to see it finished man.

I think I love you.

Even more so if you forget about the 2j and go back to the LSX! LSX with 8 throttles would make a pretty wonderful sound I think

Me too!

You will have to cut that elbow off and rotate it, unless you want a long intercooler pipe that goes up and over the frame rail instead of down and around the radiator support.

A couple of things I found out about the turbo kit when I installed it: I would pick up new manifold to turbo and turbo to downpipe gaskets (about $150 for genuine GReddy gaskets) Replace the oil feed/return lines with a stainless kit and get a turbo blanket (the grey one, not the black one) All five of these can be picked up from MVP motorsports for just under $400 and totally worth it. Your downpipe, assuming it is from a Supra, will need to be modified. A pie cut will need to be made as the downward angle on it is too much it will not mate up to an exhaust properly. Your wastegate is different than the one I have, yours looks more like an HKS unit not the GReddy one. I still haven't gotten any prices on the HKS stuff yet, apparently this guy made way too much money last year and doesn't want any more. I have waited a week and he keeps giving me excuses on why he can't get pricing together. (I know they aren't tremendously busy either, so I don't know what the problem is)

I think I the elbow off the turbo might work out well for me b/c I'm pushing the front mount all the back to the engine and laying a radiator almost on its side. like this front to rear.... ___I should be a pretty trick set up but that elbow might get mean i might not have to cut the intercooler on that side. O and I send you a pm. but get you get the HKS valcon "valve controller" with your v-pro?

If you are planning on doing a V-mount IC/Rad setup, I hope you do it the right way, not like I have seen some of them done before. I PM'd you right back regarding the Valcon.

Nope not yet it should be back mid day friday or so it depends on when he leaves AZ. Its like a 5 hour drive from where Full Race is at to Las Vegas. He works for them but It's his own side work.

your build up is inspiring. and its great to see after such a huge let down about how the car was originally built. good luck on your project i hope it continues along with as few hang ups as possible.

as far as color personally im biased with white but if i had something crazy like that i would do flat white with pink anodized or painted wheels and matching pink cage and the black accents like your room and whatever else..
good luck with whatever your choice is. keep up the good work!

well when it may come down to money wether or not the car gets painted when i want it to get painted. I main goal is to get the damn thing running. I'm sick of spending money on it and not enjoying it. I just found out another part for the HKS v-pro I have to order in order to handle the VVTI and will cost around 900 bucks but will come with a 264 intake cam. i hate how expensive this is getting. wooooowwwwww should have stayed nissan. haha

Just wait, it gets better, $900 is just for the controller and the intake cam. THEN you need another $450-500 for the exhaust cam and cam gear. HEHEHE don't you just love this game. On the bright side, it all depends on your power goals. If you are planning on breaking the 800hp (which it doesn't look like you are with your current turbo choice, and the fact it is a drift car.) Then you would need a cam upgrade. I would say anything under that, a cam shaft upgrade isn't really necessary. I'm sure someone will chime in and tell me I am wrong about that but that is my opinion on the matter. Nissan's are for wusses! Welcome to the world of Big power/money Lexus.

I wouldn't be able to do a stagger cam set up? haha stock exhaust 264 intake ... slvrgs300 might as well get them to throw on an exhaust cam and cam gear on the quote.
