K&N FIPK replacement air filter = Amsoil's EaAU3560
Just an FYI for those that are sick and tired of oiling all the time.
1. Dry media; no need to ever oil
2. More surface area; The K&N filter is 5.5" wide at the base and 4.5" wide at the top whereas the Amsoil filter is 6" wide at the base and 5" wide at the top. Overall it is a wider filter. However, the K&N filter is a 1/2" longer in length. I ran some surface area figures and eventhough the Amsoil filter is shorter by a 1/2" it still has a good amount more surface area because it is wider throughout the entire filter.
3. It has an induction area on the top of the filter allowing more airflow where the K&N does not allowing more airflow.
4. Filters at the Nano level (microscopic)
Just helping some fellow CL members out. It is a great filter; I think it runs around $50 bucks.
