AEM Dryflow Filter fitment with SRT intake on gs300
I've been using an AEM Dryflow filter for my SRT intake and it has been working great, however, SRT intakes for the GS300 requires a vacuum duct to be routed through the top of the cone filter. The AEM dryflow doesnt come with a pre-cut hole on top so I was wondering what did you guys do? Did you just cut/poke a hole through the filter? I know that's what I did but eventually the crack enlarged and I got a CEL probly due to too much air being sucked in through the gap on top. I had to cover the top of the filter with electric tape to avoid particles from being sucked into the motor and the CEL went away, but now my filter is getting pretty dirty I guess, its been about 15k miles and instead of cleaning I'm just going to buy a new AEM dryflow filter but I would like to install it more properly considering it doesnt come precut with the vacuum duct opening.
Enlighten me on how I can more efficiently install the AEM dryflow cone filter with the SRT intake for GS300.

if you shoot an email to K&N, they have a huge selection of cone filters, almost positive they have one with the kind of vac inlet you're talking about. If not, i wouldn't think it's a big deal to modify, though i would suggest if the top of the filter is plastic to find some nylon drill bits to use to avoid that cracking
