Lexus sold more 2IS in 2006 than Toyota imported Supras from '93 to '98 by a factor of three. Supras are rare for mass produced cars. If you want really rare, try JZA80L-ALFVZA. Hard top, 6 speed, TT. Less than 400 imported. I love mine.

There is a fine line between.. WOW THAT's RARE! and wow... that is just stupid..

If you want a IS350 engine, just get a IS350 to begin with. It is not worth the money.

LOL! true. but there's also a fine line between.. "oh look there goes another 350" (just like all the others) and "damn.... look at that thing! musta wasted alot of money on it! but it sure does look like something you don't see everyday!"

can we stay on the topic plz??
im guessing the wiring and everything would be simple?
and the 350 engine would be a bolt on? since they both come from the same chassis

I don't think it's impossible, a friend of mine dropped an LS1 (the one on holden's) on a nissan patrol(manual) and didn't have to change the nissan's gearbox.

so it's not impossible, but it will cost a fortune but if that's not a problem for you then go for it.

I wouldn't be so quick to sell my car before you've done some REAL research. Like getting price quotes on importing the engine, transmission, wiring harnesses, etc. Not to put down ClubLexus but the best the majority of us can do is speculate because this has never been attempted before (at least to my knowledge).

In other words, look a little harder before you leap or you may find yourself in the midst of a very expensive swap with no choice but to spend more money to make it work.

If your looking for a bit more power just bolt a bottle on and go... it will take you a half a day not an entire year to get right.

I've done many many engine swaps over the years and to hear that people are actually looking to swao an engine for as little as 300 hp. makes me laugh.
I can understand being different , but to be honest I would never even think about an engine swap for less then 450-500hp.
