I would say an 98+ Toyota Aristo. Because of the length of the wiring harness. I do believe that the ECU is inside the cabin for a supra, and the ECU is under the hood for an Aristo.

Niice man. I see you won the bid

Make sure to have the shop do a very thorough go-over on the whole engine. Nothing worse to install everything then find out you have a hosed motor when you crank it for the first time. Also perform a compression and leakdown check on it. Some of those JDM engines aren't very well maintained because of how their taxing system works...there's less incenctive for people to keep a car for a long time. I can't count the times that I've seen horribly sludged up engines from Japan. Some are so bad that the bearings rod/main bearings are damaged.

The 2JZ-GTE VVTi head I bought for my car was in pretty rough shape when I got it. It had pretty bad sludge for the claimed mileage. I went ahead and had the whole engine chemical washed, rebuilt, upgraded, and cleaned out.

I'm not trying to scare you or anything, but just make sure to inspect everything is good to go before you drop it in. Either way it's a fun project and I wish you best of luck getting everything completed. I'll tell you one thing though, you're gonna have a hell of a fun time once its all dome

lol. yeah man, you're right, I've been researching and the first thing that came to me is that I'd have to clean the motor since, like you said people Japan have less incentive to keep up with maintainance on their cars due to tax reasons.

I really can't wait to get this motor in, but I'm still waiting on parts for it. I can tell you though, I'm sure I'll have fun when its done. Thanks for your input btw Jeff.

MrExecutive - I'm curious, did your 2JZ-GTE not come with the turbos? If this truely is JDM, the ceramic turbos are worth a good deal of money, if you use them or sell them.

Nice seeing you & your car again yesterday.

Hope you can get started soon on your swap...I will be getting my single turbo stuff soon. I can't wait because with the JDM ceramic twins @ 14psi I'm already quick as hell lol...

Coming home from the Mayday meet I ran into this SS Camero and I put like 4-5 car lengths on him from a 40mph roll. LOL. Getting my tune done by Chris in about 2 weeks.

Then got pulled over......Womp womp. Luckily I got away with only no insurance/reg/inspection LOL. I got 6 tickets since I got this car back from S.S....Haha

*dreams about the GT35R....Water cooled *drools*

why would the JDM twins be worth a lot of money? the USDM steel twins are better and capable of producing more power...
