Default question regarding options

so i picked up my IS barely a month and a half ago.

i already have a bit of mods done for performance.
i have the megan b pipe, and the apexi n1 exhaust system

i have the srt intake and ecu piggyback on its way.

my first question is if i want to run around 300-325 rwhp what is the best way to achieve this goal?

i was looking and the srt and greddy turbo kits are running $3500-5000+ but are pushing more than what im looking to be at in hp ratings. i dont want to replace my transmission. what are my options?

and a second question for those running turbo kits: i drive the highway ALOT. i heard a long time ago that turbo'd cars get really good gas mileage when set on cruise and run on the highway....is this true? what is your experience?

thank you for the help.

look into a supercharger kit or the mazzuri super turbo kit

You could also get the srt 2.75 and just have it tuned down then you have the proper kit if you ever want more hp

For most people mpg stay the same if you dont drive like a maniac all the time, with a good tune

I have the same goals, somewhat. From searchin so far on my.is and stuff i say you could....
1. Supercharger, tranny upgrades (vb, cooler, etc), bolt-ons if you want that extra juice.
2. Stage 1 Turbo Kit, Mazzuri has one out as stated above. A couple people have the kit on and say its reliable. Daniel himself had it on his IS that has 100+k and hit boost everyday and it still ran good.
3. You could piece together a turbo kit. Turbo, manifold, full exhaust, EMU, oil lines and everything else. not sure on all the parts, but if you knew cars, you would know what to get, lol.
4. My all-time fav option, and what i might end up doin myself. Gettin a 2jz-gte and swappin that in. That'll give you 320hp with the stock twins. Comes with oil squirters so thats already taken care of, and if you get the 2JZ-GTE VVT-i, that motor should mount perfectly to our stock 2j's. Also its a perfect base to build power, ex. slappin a bigger turbo, all that fun stuff.

but yeah, thats what i came up with. check out my.is if you havent already, plenty of boosted guys over there that can share some trials and tribulations of boosting and what parts get you what kind of power range.
