Default GS300 Intake question

Was wondering if anyone got the same problem i got. I have a custom intake piping (with the air sensor) with HKS filter on my '02 GS3. I noticed if i gun my car more than often, the check engine light will turn on. I then will put my stock one back on then after about a day, the check engine light will turn off. Any suggestions why it does that?

you're stuffing more air into the engine without retuning the air/fuel/spark curves, thus throwing the ecu for a lop and it throws the idiot light at you because it doesn't know why the car is running so lean, thus forcing it to correct itself to run more rich than stock.

as far as suggestions, you need an air/fuel controller like the apexi neo. Or, ditch your intake and spring for the SRT intake with ecu add-on (solders to your current setup and does the tuning for you)
