Default F-sport intake install issue...

So i'm pretty done with the install of this f-sport intake and the last step is the reconnect the inlet air duct. But the damn wholes don't line up at all. I've tried loosening all the bolts on the airbox trying to reposition it. But the filament is just off for some reason. Anyone else have a similar issue or any ideas?

Make sure the air duct that connects in the airbox is lined up. If anything just remove everything and start all over, but TAKE YOUR TIME

I had that same issue. I had to take off the whole airbox and reseat it correctly. If you see in the picture that the piece circled in red was not aligned properly so it was popping up the airbox more than it should. Make sure this piece is in correctly. There is a hole it goes into. I don't know if its the same issue you are having but the samething happened to me where the air duct was not lining up.

hmmm lemme check for that tab.. yeah i took it completely off and reinstalled the airbox 3x already and still wouldn't seat correctly. It definitely feels like something isn't going in on the bottom...

i had the same problem with the air box when i was installing my hid kit, that plastic piece (pointed out by lexman) at the bottom is the culprit.

yep that tab was the culprit. I didn't think the japs would design a part with such horrible filament. lol thanks guys!

Where did you get the F-sport sticker on top of the intake?

yeah there's 2 pins in the front about 1/2ft on each side of the oil cap and one clip back. Just pull up on the cover with your hands closer to the front near the oil cap. Once the pins are released slide it away from you (towards back of car) to release the clip.
