just one question...isint the whole point of having an intake is to eliminate the air box which allows for quicker air flow thru the pipe...i have never seen an aftermarket intake that connects to the airbox???? before i had the F I had the 350 and I had an intake on it as well but completly took of the airbox and had the filter at the end of the tube.

Is there any horsepower increase with the air box still on???

lol i had to get something with my gift certificate!

The F-sport airbox is completely different from the stock airbox. Its completely smooth on the bottom along with a extra inlet for increased airflow.

is that extra inlet covered or hosed into the stock air inlet or is it just open? that's what I would love to know.

it originally connected to the side of the stock airbox. After installing the fsport airbox reconnects to the same side of the "new" airbox. It's basically the air inlet for your intake system.

hrm.. making a hole would basically make the same thing. VERY interesting indeed. I guess ya'll who got it has to check up on your air filter its' basically open to the elements. so basically I guess you're kinda getting the joez pipe and also the open element filter all in one hahaha. nice nice. Except 300 isn't a price i'm willing to pay for this.. I'm about to put my car back to stock and drive like a granny but thanx for the pics!!!! really appreciate it. I don't have to go buy one just to see it.

The engine covers still fit perfectly. You're basically adding the same shapes and # of pieces to the car. The pieces are just made with different materials or have a hole cut out.
