Default im new here, but im here to help and or learn

I was reading all over the gs section of this forum, could not find one piece of coherent information or maby just the info i was looking for, in one post of this performance section a guy asked if a custom drive shaft was to be used when mounting a jdm 2j into the gs300 with the 6spd trans, recieved no reply, so i was wondering if you would actually need a custom d shaft or if the length was the same aswell as the u-joints. i also have a possible solution to the problem of the gauges that most people are having problems getting to work due to the digital signal, AIM motorsports actually has the solution not me. i just stumbled on the website. Another question of mine is if there is already a 2j in the gs300 why is everyone changing it for an expensive turbo jdm counter part? import performance parts has engine kits with forged pistons for a little over a grand. for both engines in fact, forged rods are extra but you can still get them, so whats wrong with the stock motor rebuilt to boost specs? and a couple more things what a about the r154 trans ? they are plenty while the v160 are not and a lot more expensive is really worth that extra money for that one extra forward gear? you can make a r154 just as strong for less money than i have seen these things go for ! do you guys really have all this money if so please i need some !! and as for tuning software has any one heard of ms-1 or ms -2 by megasquirt its awsome and completely universal and cheap! sorry for the rant, little frustrated girlfriend rolled over and went to sleep ...you know how it is, any answers to my questions would be greatly appriciated, (please forgive my lack of understanding aswell)

I hope so lol , but it just seemed to me when i was reading through the forum that there were no outlandish ideas i was hoping to see or read about like the lextreme forums, i am a member on that forum aswell but they are not so model specific. To be of more help i am a technician with access to mitchell 1 and identifix so if any one needs any diagrams and the latest ones at that let me know. And i will try searching for the information i desire and or hopefully someone will post a reply to one of my numerous questions.
