Default HKS, Borla, Tanabe, Magnaflow questions

Which would you choose in the 4 options?

Also, share your opinions about which one sounds the most AGGRESSIVE/LOUDEST and which one sounds the most silent when inside and outside.

I'm considering one with the most silent in the interior but has an aggressive tone outside. Any idea?

i just installed the Tanabe and i cant hear it in the car. but sounds good on the out side and looks much better. If you want sound then the Borla off road sounds good from the clips i have listened to on YouTube.

I had a Tanabe and it sounded pretty good - loud enough to set off my neighbor's car alarm every time I started up. lol

Have you considered Greddy? I hear it's pretty good also.

HAHAHA!! nice one. so I guess tanabe is loud enough outside but quiet inside, but borla both loud?

Where can I buy these exhausts, of course w/cheap price?

Never heard Greddy b4, is the sound characteristics similar to borla or tanabe?

Serves my neighbor right - parking a 4Runner too close to my car (with a crappy aftermarket siren alarm that doesn't deter theft). I smiled everytime.

I'm not familiar with Borla, but I think Greddy is louder than Tanabe?

Check out the "vendor forums" for a new one or the "2IS classified for sale forums" for a cheaper used one.

p.s. there's HKS soundclips on their website.

I'm a diehard borla guy, put it on all my cars, but for my 2IS (once i scrape up some cash) i will be getting tanabe.

Borla is imo the best sounding exhaust ever, on any car you put it on... BUT... its loud.

I've got an HKS Hi-power, can definitely hear it in the car. For me, it was the deep deep sound I craved, and the HKS delivered. Also I likes me the tubes - reminds me of a jet engine sort of.

The Lexus HKS sticks out a little further than the Tanabe which has angled tips, but not much. This might give you a better idea:

i just got the tanabe installed today and i must say i love it. i am always concerned about in-cabin noise when getting exhaust and with japanese cars i am also always concerned about that nasty rice rocket sound.

the tanabe sounds whisper quiet inside...almost stock and outsde it sounds great not annoying and definately not ricey

the only thing i didnt like was the shiney chromey look of the mufflers...however that was easily fixed with some heat resistant matte black paint and now it looks awesome. tanabe should make the mufflers black straight outta the box, imo.
