Default Have I missed anything for NA v8 power?

I know transmission bits will help put down the power but I'm just talking about the motor itself.

For bolt ons-
PPE headers
Apexi Neo
Weapon R intake
Larger injectors

Taking a deeper dive-
Cams
Headwork
Compression

Outside of a wet nitrous kit, I can't think of too much more that will add power. There's plenty that will support it but for adding is there anything else outside of FI?

Was the 2UZ 4.6L block useable? I remember someone did a 1.3UZ; 1UZ heads with a 3UZ block

Allow me to rephrase....

Assuming I hypothetically have everything already listed, have I missed anything?

Meth injection
Test pipes (Megan racing)
Torque Master plugs

I never had meth injection or nitrous but when I was NA I believe I had the highest dyno numbers; both HP and TQ and had just about every NA mod short of engine internals. With the 3.73 gears and high stall TC it moved!

Good luck man!

FYI. No one ever seems to really address the transmissions in our cars. I remember reading a long time ago either here on CL, Lextreme or Lexus Owners Club where a guy had a GS4 with basic mods (H/I/E) but threw a manual 6MT tranny from a Supra Turbo. The result? He ran low to mid 13's in the 1/4 mile! I believe it was around 13.3 or so. Our 2nd gen GS' are very capable cars despite their size/weight. Our stock tranny sucks and is slow shifting. The reason why you don't hear many doing this is because when thinking of the cash outlay they just wind up going the 2jz swap route. However, NA is a lot of fun too when done right!

There was another guy that did a full port, polish, balanced and blueprinted his 1UZ along with hp Pistons in his GS4 with some other mods (non-internals) and he made close to 400whp!

Close to 400whp NA is not bad at all! I can only imagine how much fun driving our V8's with a 6mt.

Hey Rock, any updates on your car ?

A manual transmission would be fun. I'm going to try the valve body adjustment and/or the short shift kit and see what happens with that.

I have not done P&P yet on the heads but if I remember correctly the 3UZ heads already flow quite well so I'm not sure the benefit. 400 crank is what I'm after but I don't think it is feasible without a fair amount of block and valve work. Danny made 360 with his bolt ons leaving a very long 40hp to go.

Hey Rock, any updates on your car ?
It's going great! Will have an update soon. Ridiculously long journey. One of the main issues I had since almost 2yrs ago that I just found was my driver CAM sensor was bad; causing intermittent stalling and mult misfire codes. Car would run good sometimes and sometimes bad. Thought it was vacuum leaks, or bad/wrong spark plugs, bad fuel pump or injectors. None of that! The stupid CAM sensor was leaking oil within itself and getting into the electrical connector area causing a lost signal from time to time. The sensor actually physically failed; it still reads proper resistance to Lexus spec.

Installing a good working sensor soon. Did the street tune myself. Car pulls like a freight train. I'll have pics and videos soon. Final step would be off to a dyno shop to extract the most power in the most efficient way. My car passed inspection with my FIC8! Everyone says it's a POS...I got it to work though! It took a long time as I had to re-wire my $375 harness from Boomslang. Lol. Almost there.

Thx for asking though.
