nobody knows if an additional magnaflow muffler in plac of my resonators would help.. or help better than just throwing on some high flow cats?

JoeZ already offered you a very good solution that you may want to consider. Louvered Core resonators in place of the perforated ones you have now.

I wouldn't replace the perforated resonators. I would simply add another pair of louvered core resonators.

oh ok... so you guys think the louvered core resonators will be better then to add a hi flow cat or additional straight through mufflers?

I don't think either one of us said that louvered core resonators would be better than cats or mufflers. If we did say that, then we would be typing out our asses.

im considering getting this http://www.houseofhorsepower.net/pdf...lo_X_pg189.pdf and putting it in the place of my stamped magnaflow x pipe.. what do you guys think?

i think this will be better in terms of what an x pipe is good for.. and will help reduce the sound that has been bothering me.. with conjunction of this, some highflow cats and mazzuri headers.. i think i will be a happy camper!

Sounds like a total replacement of all but the mufflers.

The muffler/X-pipe looks pretty cool. This may get rid of the raspy sound but as soon as you add the headders it will come back. If you don't want any raspy sound then go with the Y-pipe and one nice inline muffler. Then split back into two for the rear section. Their is no best of both worlds here. Awesome sound/ quiet/ Highest HP... It will be hard to get all three of these together. Your still going to have to choose which is more important.

you think headers will make it raspier.. i figured it would smooth out the tone.. make it louder.. but smoother..

The inlet / outlet spacing of the new x-pipe will probably be different. If so, there will be much more work than just swapping it out, especially if you want to keep the mandrel bends.
