no, the blitz s/c added significant HP, not mainly torque like the tom's s/c. it was also a lot more involved, looks like an octopus took over the engine.

There are conflicting rumors about the Blitz S/C kit. We'll see when I can see some good dyno reports. The IS-F is crazy but it's just a beast of an engine with good breaks and a more appealing body. I would expect a V-8 5.0L engine to put out 400 horsepower but why not a IS350 Turbo or S/C to push 450 or 500 or even 550!?

The biggest problem with the IS350 we've seen isn't the supercharger itself, but the fuel management. The car comes stock with 4 cam angle sensors, 6 traditional injectors, 6 direct injectors, a MAF, and several others preventing an easy aftermarket solution. We went back and forth with AEM, HKS, and several other companies in regards to fuel management systems. Initially, we were going to run a HKS FCon V-Pro, but there was some confusion with what the car would be doing. We ended up going with a totally different system that only controls certain things which still allows us to tune the car, but keeps all of the factory creature comforts that make the Lexus, well, a Lexus. The research and development to actually flash these ECUs were not justifiable, so we ended up going the route we did.
