Fwiw, here's what's on SRT's website. Looks like pricing starts at 35K and I don't see cams, valves, or valve springs included. The lists is not very much when you look at it.

The twin turbo system for the Lexus GS400 is the ultimate upgrade for this car. This kit will produce Horsepower numbers above 500 at the rear wheels. Everything in this system is custom hand made and the system is only available as special order with installation at SRT's facilities.

The starting price of this system is $35,000.00* installed.

The following is a brief list of what the kit comes with:

- SRT spec'ed custom forged pistons.
- SRT spec'ed custom forged connecting rods.
- Complete built engine, blue printed and balanced.
- New coated engine bearing set.
- Custom Head studs for engine.
- Mild porting of cylinder heads.
- All new seals and gaskets in engine.
- Fully rebuilt transmission with blue plate clutches and new steels.
- All new seals and gaskets for transmission.
- Haltech standalone engine management system.
- Upgraded fuel injectors.
- Upgraded spark plugs.
- Upgraded twin intank fuel pumps.
- Upgraded SS braided fuel lines.
- External fuel pressure regulator.
- Electronic boost controller.
- Electronic turbo timer.
- Custom hand made, tig welded, mandrel bent, T321 SS tubular turbo manifolds.
- Custom hand made, tig welded, mandrel bent, intercooler piping.
- Power coated intercooler piping.
- Custom twin front mount air-to-air intercoolers.
- Upgraded torque converter.
- Custom semi-solid motor mount drivers side.
- Full Custom T304 SS, tig welded dual exhaust.
- New AFE air filters.
- All new fluids and filters.
- Complete dyno tuning.
- Complete installation and fabrication.

The simple truth is that to exceed 400hp you will need MANY things including transmission upgrades/replacement, engine internals and major tuning changes.

I am thinking something else. Either an positive displacement supercharger or a remote mount turbo with either choice running around 5psi boost. This should yield around 400hp engine and around 300hp or so at the wheels. This would be enough to compete with many of the new performance sedans on the market and still work with the stock engine and transmission. Tuning should be accomplished with a piggyback system.

Above these levels you are looking at a complete vehicle re-engineering effort. Even the above system requires attention to detail and tune. From there it is up to each individual on how much they are willing to spend on any specific car.

This is a great deal, if you can get into a GS4 on the cheap. If you can get into one for 5-10K, even if you spend 50K on the car, you will end up getting into cheaper then a new M5 with potential for a time and half the HP of the M5. Not to mention that you will end up with something far more unique. The only problem will be getting the same money you put into it, out of it..... but then again, short of an F40, you will never get your money out of a car. When I think about this, it always brings me back to the phrase "pay to play."

Compared to some of the Euro custom builds going on in different forums, I consider this a pretty fair deal for what you get in return.
