Default Tanabe Exhaust Sound

I love the appearance of the tanabe exhaust on the IS way better than the HKS. However i really need to hear some better sound clips than those that are on youtube and stuff like that...
please post links or any info here.

Thanks.

You may not want to hear this but believe me, the only way to truly get an idea of how it sounds is to hear it in person. Sound clips only give a very rough idea. I love the sound, but it's best heard in person.

Default Tanabe Video on 2006 IS 350

Here is a link to a video of the Tanabe Medallion exhaust on my 2006 IS 350:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VrnduuzgxQ

The first part of the video is inside the car and the second part is outside the car (camera attached to rear of car).

awsome clip For sure that sounds deeper than a G35. Does this exhaust give a big "kick" when you start your engine?

I didn't notice any big "kick" when I start the engine. It does sound lower than the stock exhaust when it starts. My opinion is that the Tanabe is "neighbor friendly," in other words your neighbors won't complain that you are making too much noise going down the street (as long as you are easy on the gas). The way you drive the car controls the amount of sound coming out of the back. Going up hill or with a load on the car makes it sound deep. Also accelerating quickly sounds good as well as holding it at mid RPMs (less than 3,000). This is not what I would consider a really "Loud" exhaust system. I think it sounds very good and very appropriate for the Lexus. I also think it looks much better than the stock exhaust. I had a local Lexus dealer install the exhaust just to make sure it got into the Lexus computer system and they don't complain about anything when servicing my car.

Default IS250 with Tanabe Exhaust

Sorry, I can't help you with that question. Maybe someone that has a Tanabe exhaust on an IS250 can answer your question.

This exhaust is pretty inaudible from the inside but from the outside it's pretty loud. That said I plan on changing it out for a Greddy to get a slightly more aggressive tone.
