I could do that if I'm allowed to...since it would be relatively cheap for me to do I wouldn't ask much for it. You would just have to assemble and install.

This is a great DIY mod for ANY intake...it pretty much is taking the intake supplied heat shield one step further. However, when making this box it is best to have some type of flexible hose or intake pipe that leads from the wheel well or behind the fog light to draw in extra outside air. So the ONLY air that is entering the cold air box is fender and outside cooler air. Better gas mileage, better performance and smoother idle. The car just runs better on cooler charged intake air.

Hey Rock,

I'd like to be first on your list! Just PM the cost and I'll paypal you the funds.

Also, how do you make the intake pipe that leads from the wheel well? Any other info you can give us on this would be appreciated.

And ... how do you like your Toyo tires? How's the ride and are they quiet?

Thanks,

Scott

Hey Nick... please do not solicit sales its against forum rules. I know you mean well but its not allowed here.

What you should do is a DIY so that everyone can benefit from your experience. Just my .02¢.

Also out of experience on my end, home depot sells a flexible aluminum duct that can be used to re-route air from the from to the filter. I use to have this set up in my old GS4 it runs for like $6-8 if i remember correctly.

No problem, I realize that since I am not an authorized seller that I cannot sell this little kit that's why I never responded back to anyone that offered to pay me for my "services." Again, not a problem, I will do a DIY in the near future with pictures that the members can simply print and cut out and use them as a template to make their own out of the material of their choice.

Thanks, I am planning on getting an SAFC II installed and dyno tuned shortly. I will do a baseline (just with K & N FIPK intake, Borla SS exhaust and TM plugs) then I will try to do some pulls with the addition of this "CAB", finally I will do some pulls with the SAFC II when tuned properly.

After the addition of this A/F controller I most likely will add the S&S or JPI headers and perhaps an "X" pipe for the exhaust. When these mods are complete I am going to be done with "go-fast" mods unless I run into some money...then FI or JPI stroker kits for me!

Hey thanks guys...I'll try to post up a DIY with actual dimensions. Maybe something that you guys can just print the post, cut out the shape and use as a template...I'll see if I can do that and if it will work. Remember, hot air is always your enemy with regard to performance!

You should seal up where the intake tube meets the box. Put a rubber liner or something there, or else you are going to be sucking up that hot air there too.
