Default GS400 Throttle Body Part Help needed

Can anyone tell me the part # to the piece that is outlined on each one of these Throttle bodies? They are off of a 98+ GS400 and the polished one has lost that piece and i need to get another one and cant find one anywhere or even get a part number. The guy at my local lexus dealer told me it was the Throttle Position Sensor so i just walked out cause i realized that was a lost cause.

Any chance anyone might have one for sale also???

Ive tried all over and noone even knows what part im talking about even when i tell them then black part the the throttle cable hooks into they just kinda go blank one guy even went as far as saying "I didnt know they had a throttle cable i thought it was electronic"

For the IS300 i have a diagram that basically shows every part on the car and its part # i was hoping maybe someone over here had one for the GS400 and could get me the part number then i could go back to my local dealer and just say here this is what i need.

I work at a Lexus Dealership and I also drive a GS400. If I have to I will see if the parts manager can help. I will walk him out to my car if I have to. I will clown him if he tells me he doesn't know!!! He has been there forever so I am sure he will!

That's called an Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor.

Just goto your local lexus dealer or call l-tuned parts and ask for an Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor.

I Have a spare throttle body with that sensor but I dont think you can use it since it's for my vvti 2jz-gte

Thats an IS300 Throttle body and intake manifold.

IS300's throttle body is shorter than the GS300. However, they might all share the same APP sensor. I hope the op of this thread ask lexus for an IS300 APP sensor and not a GS400 just to make sure he gets the correct part number..lol

That is a 98+ GS400 TB welded to an IS300 y-pipe. so yes it makes the end product look somewhat different then what you are used to seeing. Its a very common thing in higher HP turbo'd IS300's.

Im 100% positive its from a GS400 as ive removed them directly from GS400's in the past to have the whole assembly made.

Edit i should also add that they IS300 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor bolts on with 4 bolts to the smaller TB. The GS400 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor bolt on with just 3 to the large 80mm TB

Here is a picture. The black one is from an IS300 and the Polished one is the Same TB in the first picture from the GS400. You can tell the differences between the 2 here alot easier. I should also add the black one in the first picture is not the same black one in this picture the first pic is both GS400 TB adapted to fit on an IS300

Makes sense now

So its a modified IS300 intake plenum with a welded GS400 throttle body.
You seek the part number to the GS400 APP sensor.

Just thought i would state it in simpler terms.

hmmm i thought about this recently too using the gs400 TB. What have the results been like?

this is the part number for GS430... i wonder if its the same...
PART NUMBER : 78010-30030

I'ce also seen it called "Throttle Pedal Position Sensor" but it may come up as "LEVER ASSY, THROTTLE"

Hope this helps.

let me use my psychic powers to guess the code you got?

post the code and more than likely just the TPS (i thought you could adjust them though??) doubtful the whole TB needs to be replaced
