LMS Supercharger kit for the '07 IS350 questions.
quote from LMS website.
"The kit delivers 300+ RWHP at 5 lbs of boost @ 6,400 RPM without touching your factory ecu, injectors, or fuel pump.(note: head gasket or internals are recommended to lower compression on kits boosting over 5 psi) Maintain your factory fuel economy and drivability at cruising speeds and idle with 380+ horses at the tip of the gas pedal. NOTE: The kit is intended for off road use only. The kit is not C.A.R.B certified Build time is 3 weeks"
My question is how are you guys tuning this kit. It seems like it's running off stock injectors, ecu, ect...
I've own a first gen IS300 and turbo charged it with the SRT Stage 2 kit. Tuning on that kit was possible due to the fact it has an EMS (Haltech F10X)
I read that 2-3 members on this board has the lms kit on their IS350. My question is how are you tuning the kit? What are some of the issues in running this kit? how was the install?
Thanks

Why would you want to idle at 380+ horses? How does that work with you only have 300 horses to the wheel? Explain that after you address the ops question please.

They weren't saying that it idled at 380 HP. They said that there was 380+ HP available at the tip of the gas pedal. However, that 380+ estimate is WAY optimistic for this kit. Our drivetrain does not lose 80 HP.

I don't think it would be a "great" solution, but I don't see why it wouldn't work out. The OEM ECU has all the info it needs to do an adequate tune for a centrifugal SC. It's not like it has to figure out turbo lag.
